Application Description:

e-Sword is a fast and effective way to study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package. The fact that e-Sword is free is just one of the blessings and does not speak of the quality of the software. I make my living writing software and I believe I have put forth my best effort in this endeavor. The real work, however, was put in by the godly men and women who devoted countless years creating the texts that have been made available for our benefit.

Script Description:

Without scripts, JAWS automatically speaks the SecureCRT menus and controls when you use them. In order for JAWS to speak the text inside the emulation window, the JAWS echo text setting must be set to “ALL”, which causes JAWS to speak all text that has changed or is new on your computer screen. This can be distracting since you hear content that might be extraneous, such as the announcement of the clock change every minute.

To customize how the terminal emulation window text is spoken, Harald van Breederode, a DBA trainer at Oracle Nederland BV, wrote a group of scripts that let you be more selective about what information the screen reader speaks and ignores.

The main function in the scripts is the NewTextEvent function, which is called by JAWS whenever the content of the computer screen changes and determines what is spoken. The NewTextEvent function re-sends all screen text when the screen contents get refreshed, for example, when you switch sessions or when you ALT+TAB back into SecureCRT.

By default, the example scripts tell JAWS to speak new text that appears in the emulation window. This echoing can be toggled by pressing the JAWSKey+X. The script announces itself whenever SecureCRT is launched and announces the session title whenever you switch sessions with CTRL+TAB and when you ALT+TAB into SecureCRT. Pressing JAWSKey+H gives an overview of the hotkeys used within the scripts. If you need to re-read screen contents, you can walk with the JAWS cursor and the screen will scroll up and down as needed.

Application Description:

SecureCRT is an extremely customizable terminal emulator for internet and intranet use with support for Secure Shell (SSH1 and SSH2) as well as Telnet and RLogin protocols. SecureCRT is ideal for connecting to remote systems running Windows, UNIX, and VMS. SecureCRT supports secure file transfers via Xmodem, Zmodem, and SFTP.

JAWS scripts for Mini Mogue va for Windows.

Application Description:

MiniMogue va is a soft synthesizer. Based on the most popular analog monosynth of all time! This amazing softsynth sounds very close to the original Minimoog. Like the original, it’s a monosynth (no polyphony), but there are many additional features not present in the original Mini, including: dedicated Release knobs for the two Contour Generators (envelopes), Tuning of Osc 1, Fine Tuning sliders for Osc2 and Osc3, Aftertouch control, adjustable filter Velocity curve, 3 independent Overdrive sliders (one per oscillator), Global Overdrive with hi and lowpass cutoff, Oscillator Sync, Chorus, an independent LFO that includes oscillator drift and stereo panning, and a fully programmable Digital Delay! Like the original Mini, you can turn Osc3 into an LFO with dedicated modulation for the Osc Pitch and the Filter. There is no dedicated Noise Generator as on the original Mini, but pink and white noise are selectable on Osc 3. All controls are mapped to MIDI CC#’s, and you can override the default settings by using the MIDI Learn feature. Use as a simple stand-alone synth (.exe file included), or copy the DLL into your favorite DAW or sequencer’s plugin folder. If you are unaware of what the Mini Mogue was, it was the synthesizer that started it all all the way back in the 70’s. If you download and play around with the Mini Mogue program, you will notice that it sounds very similar to every synthesizer ever made.

Jaws 8 scripts for SRL invTool (does not inlcude the Model Talker).

Application Description:

The InvTool program is used to record speech for the synthesizer. When a person records a database of speech, the InvTool program prompts the person for each word to be recorded. It then processes that speech by, among other things, giving the person feedback on whether the recording was too loud or soft, or too high or low in pitch, and giving the person the choice of rerecording that word or continuing.

InvTool allows users to take a break or stop whenever they wish, and InvTool will automatically start up wherever users stopped during the last session.
